To our valued customers,

Effective Wednesday, September 2, 2020, the City of Vancouver has commenced road improvements on the Grandview (1st Avenue) Viaduct. This work requires closing a section of 1st Avenue to motorists. During this time, Coastal Ford Vancouver is fully open; however, we ask that you please plan an alternate route and access the dealership via Main Street.

The scope of work includes full removal and replacement of the aging asphalt pavement and concrete repairs of the deck. The work is expected to take two to four weeks. To expedite the work, the City is asking motorists to plan ahead and use an alternate route.

We will keep you updated regarding any changes to dealership access throughout this time. 

Details of traffic impacts:
 

  • 1st Avenue will be closed to through traffic in both directions from Clark Drive to Cottrell Street starting September 2, 2020.
     
  • Access to businesses and parking along Terminal can be accessed via Main St.
     
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained on one sidewalk during construction.
     
  • TransLink Bus 022 will be rerouted to ensure uninterrupted bus service.
